To go even further, each cab is undercoated for an extra layer of protection against the elements. Precision-engineered aluminum extrusions reinforce critical areas, boosting the cab’s structural integrity. Plus, a robust center windshield pillar adds an extra measure of safety for both the driver and officer—because when the heat is on, every detail matters.

HIGH AIR INTAKE SYSTEM
When severe weather strikes, your equipment needs to stand strong. Traditional low-mounted air intakes are vulnerable—just a splash of floodwater can disable an engine, halt a response, and lead to costly repairs. Spartan tackles that challenge with our new high air intake design, now standard on all models and engine sizes. With fewer connections and a smarter layout, the air filter and ember separator are positioned above the radiator and turbo connection, safely behind the cab grille. This elevated design helps protect against water intrusion while allowing for quick, tool-free filter changes—so your rig stays mission-ready, no matter the conditions.

SPARTAN AWD
Industry-first all wheel drive mates the Hendrickson STEERTEK with the EZ Trac front drive system to provide a better ride and outstanding traction characteristics. Our AWD system provides superior cramp angles for improved turning radiuses. It also provides a low center of gravity and maintains the traditional ride height of a 2WD fire apparatus.
